FAQ

Why does iOS testing require a separate app?

Qaptly’s desktop automation is designed for multi-platform consistency. On Android, GPS mocking is supported through official APIs, so we built it directly into the Mobile App — controllable both from the app itself and from the Desktop. However, iOS automation works differently: the Desktop sends test commands directly to the device, which makes it difficult to adjust GPS locations effectively during testing. A dedicated app is needed to handle GPS simulation for iOS.

Why is this app so small?

Qaptly Auto for iOS is built with Swift + React and does not bundle additional third-party libraries, resulting in a very compact file size. Despite its small footprint, it covers all common GPS simulation testing scenarios.
