Capture User Behavior

Qaptly does not record clicks. It captures what the user tried to do and how the product responded. This turns raw interaction into meaningful behavior.

What Qaptly Captures

For every interaction, Qaptly records:
1

UI Element Involved

Which button, input, or component was interacted with
2

Action Type

Tap, input, swipe, navigation, or other gestures
3

User Intent

What the user was trying to accomplish
4

System Response

How the application reacted to the action
5

Resulting Changes

UI updates, data changes, and state transitions
These are combined into a single behavior event.

Behavior is More Than Interaction

A click by itself is meaningless. What matters is:

Context

Where it happened and in what state

Target

On which element and why

Outcome

What changed after the interaction

Intent

What the user was trying to achieve
Qaptly links all of these together so that each action becomes part of a traceable product story.

Why This Matters for Testing

Because Qaptly understands behavior, it can:
  • ✅ Reconstruct user flows
  • ✅ Detect unexpected transitions
  • ✅ Identify broken or risky paths
  • ✅ Compare what happened across versions
This allows testing to move from scripted steps to observed reality.
